Darts star Fallon Sherrock fires cheating allegations on Beau Greaves after she became the first woman to win a PDC title

In a dramatic and shocking turn of events following one of the most celebrated nights in darts history, Fallon Sherrock has publicly accused newly-crowned PDC title winner Beau Greaves of cheating, casting a dark shadow over what should have been a day of unrivalled celebration for the sport.

Just hours after Greaves made history by becoming the first woman to win a PDC title, defeating world champion Michael Smith in a nail-biting 8-7 final, Sherrock took to social media to voice explosive allegations.

“I hate to be the one to say it, but everyone in the locker room saw what happened,” Sherrock posted on X (formerly Twitter). “You don’t beat Michael Smith in a final like that without ‘assistance.’ The doubles were suspicious. The scoring was too consistent under pressure. It doesn’t add up. We need a full PDC investigation.”

The “Queen of the Palace,” who rose to global fame by beating Men’s World Championship competitors in 2019/2020, did not provide specific video evidence in her initial posts but implied that unnamed sources would come forward.

A History-Making Final

The allegations came as a brutal anti-climax to Greaves’ seismic victory at the Players Championship. The 20-year-old prodigy, already a dominant force in the women’s game, produced a career-defining performance to edge out ‘Bully Boy’ Smith in a sudden-death leg.

Greaves, who averaged 102.4 and landed seven 180s in the final, was visibly emotional after hitting double-top to seal the win. “It’s for every girl who picks up a dart,” she told reporters before the allegations broke.

Darts World Reacts

The reaction from the professional circuit was swift and divided. While some players called for calm, others distanced themselves from Sherrock’s claims.

Reigning World Champion Michael Smith, the man beaten in the final, dismissed the allegations outright. “Beau beat me fair and square. I missed my doubles; she didn’t. To call that cheating is a disgrace to the sport and to Beau’s talent. Fallon needs to delete that post.”

Former world champion John Part added on commentary: “These are career-ending accusations without evidence. Beau Greaves is a generational talent. To suggest her history-making moment is the result of foul play is deeply damaging.”

Sherrock Doubles Down

As of press time, Sherrock has not retracted her statements. In a follow-up post, she wrote, “I’m not scared to say what others are thinking. I’ve been fighting for respect in this sport for five years. You don’t get that kind of jump in consistency overnight. @OfficialPDC do your job.”

The Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) released a short statement: “We are aware of the comments made online. Beau Greaves has passed all standard anti-doping and equipment checks today. The PDC has no reason to believe any irregularity occurred during the match. We urge players to use official channels to raise concerns.”

Fallout for the Women’s Game

The incident threatens to fracture the growing unity in women’s darts. While Sherrock has long been the face of the women’s crossover into PDC events, Greaves has rapidly overtaken her in ranking titles.

Fellow professional Lisa Ashton pleaded for de-escalation: “This is the worst day for ladies’ darts since I turned pro. We finally get a winner on the main tour, and this is the headline? Fallon, take a breath.”

Greaves has yet to issue a formal statement beyond a cryptic tweet: “Proud of my win. Silence for now.”

The PDC has confirmed it will review the matter internally but stressed that without evidence, no formal investigation into Greaves will be launched. Sherrock now faces potential disciplinary action from the Darts Regulation Authority for bringing the game into disrepute.

Jealousy is not a nice trait !!
Fallon was hailed as the way forward for ladies darts on the big screen and was given her shot. However ability wise Beau completely outshines Fallon and Fallon knows this hence trying to sabotage and taint Beau’s amazing win.
Fallon’s comments will be more damaging to her career and reputation than it will be to Beau.
