The 19 year-old world championship finalist, who has become the face of modern darts, is said to have broken down in tears at their Warrington home after discovering Millar’s decision to join the subscription-based platform.
According to sources close to the couple, Millar, 19, had discussed the move with Littler “briefly” last month, but he had hoped she would reconsider. An insider claimed: “Luke was completely blindsided by the announcement going live. He’s still a teenager — he never imagined he’d be dealing with something like this. He locked himself in his room and was crying for hours.”
Millar, a beauty therapist who has appeared alongside Littler at several high-profile darts events including the PDC World Darts Championship final at Alexandra Palace, posted a cryptic teaser on her social media channels yesterday: “Time to take control. See you there.”
Within hours, her new account had gained thousands of subscribers, with the tagline: “More than just a darts WAG.”
Littler, who is preparing for the upcoming Premier League Darts season, has not directly addressed the situation. However, he liked and then unliked a tweet reading: “Your partner’s choices are their own — but that doesn’t mean it can’t break your heart.”
His manager declined to comment, but a family friend said: “Luke is old-school. He’s focused on his arrows and his family. This has knocked him for six.”
Social media reaction has been split. While some have defended Millar’s right to earn money independently, others have accused her of “humiliating” Littler just as his career reaches new heights.
One fan wrote: “The kid is about to sign multi-million pound sponsorship deals, and his girlfriend starts an OF? That’s cold.” Another countered: “Her body, her choice. Luke needs to grow up.”
Neither Littler nor Millar has released an official statement. But those close to the teenage star say he has left their shared flat and is staying with his parents for the foreseeable future.
