Turkish news outlet 61Saat reported on 21 July that Trabzonspor are in the final stages of negotiations to sign the 30-year-old.
The Baggies are reportedly demanding a fee of £2 million to sell the midfielder [Express & Star] who has also been linked to Hull City [Gazete Duvar].
Sky Sports and talkSPORT journalist Bardell understands why the Türkiye international is in demand and believes his future is in his hands.
Speaking exclusively to West Brom News, Bardell said: “It is decent money, West Brom probably hasn’t made a lot of money from outgoings in recent years.
“He is a good player but he’s certainly an attractive player for Turkish sides to sign.
“You see the Türkiye fans at tournaments and they go crazy for football and he’s part of that squad. This one will all depend on Yokuslu himself.
“If he wants to go, the club will take the money but if he’s reluctant then he’ll probably stay and an offer will be turned down.“
West Brom could lose Okay Yokuslu
The Baggies star shone in the EUROs for Türkiye so there is no surprise that he is in demand this summer.
A return to the Super Lig is on the cards, six years after he left Trabzonspor to join Celta Vigo.
Yokuslu moved to the Hawthorns from the La Liga side before joining permanently on a free transfer after his release was confirmed.
Now that the Baggies look set to bring in around £2m for his signature, there is certainly a silver lining to this transfer.
The 30-year-old now has a decision to make whether he wants to depart from the West Midlands this summer.
