You might think that VfB Stuttgart coach Sebastian Hoeneß would be upset after his team dropped a 1-0 decision to Bologna on Saturday, but the former Bayern Munich II boss sounded surprisingly upbeat — especially as it pertains to the club’s plan to keep Bayern Munich transfer target Nick Woltemade.
“I’m firmly convinced that he will stay. There are no indications that anything else will happen. We’re working well together, and you can see that he’s fully committed. It’s about his attitude and what he brings to the game – that was good,” Hoeneß told Bild.
Woltemade is reportedly eager to leave Stuttgart and join Bayern Munich, but it has proven difficult for the player to fulfil his wish. The Bavarians could still make a play for him, but time is ticking, and the odds feel as if they are getting longer by the day.
