Philippe Clement’s team triumphed 2-0 away in Sweden in September, but fell to Kilmarnock in their last outing and so head into their European meeting against the Romanian champions under a cloud.
“This could be a game of hoofball,” Walker told the BBC’s Scottish Football Podcast. “With both sides playing quite straight, it may be Rugby Park part two. Malmo is, in my opinion, a more complete squad than FCSB.
Walker also emphasized the role that Romanian internationals Darius Olaru and Florinel Coman, who will not play against Rangers at Ibrox, had in FCSB’s championship victory the previous season.
While teammate winger Olaru is sidelined after being sent off during the victory against PAOK, Coman currently plays for Al-Gharafa in Qatar.
“They were an extremely aggressive team.”pretty straightforward from the previous season, but they pose a serious danger as they enter the final third,” Walker continued.
“They are heavily reliant on their outside men since Olaru and Coman, their wingers, scored 78% of their goals last season.
“The fact that Olaru was sent off in the most recent game and Coman was moved in the summer is advantageous to Rangers. Both of the players that scored the majority of the goals in their championship victory the previous season are not present at Ibrox.
