In their most recent meeting, the Los Angeles Lakers almost missed a dramatic comeback victory against the Houston Rockets, losing 119-115.
LeBron James’ unsuccessful attempt to request a timeout in the closing seconds of the game, which sparked controversy on social media, was one of the most talked-about moments of the game despite the defeat.
LeBron’s failed effort at a timeout

James saw a possible turnover when Max Christie was ready to handle an inbounds pass in the final seconds of the game, as the Lakers were attempting a comeback.
Before the ball was played, James signaled for a timeout in an attempt to halt the clock and reorganize his squad after realizing the danger. The game went on, though, since the officials failed to hear his call.
James handled the matter in his customary composed way after the game, showing no animosity against the officials in spite of the important missed call.
“Of course. James clarified, “I saw it go awry, which is why I called the timeout. “They performed well and kept an eye on everything. I witnessed Fred shoot a man above me and Max was unquestionably still holding the ball when I signaled a timeout. You don’t lose a game because of it, even though it wasn’t rewarded.
The Lakers had already fallen down 22 points in the first half of the game. But LeBron James, who scored 21 points in the second half, led the Lakers to a spectacular comeback that put them back in the game.
The Lakers appeared to be about to pull off an exciting comeback, but the game’s closing seconds passed without any action, leaving them without enough players to win.
