Logan Thomas, the former quarterback turned tight end, is finalizing a deal with the San Francisco 49ers, per NFL Network.
Thomas spent one season with the Detroit Lions, catching 16 passes for 173 yards and one touchdown, all representing career highs from early in his position switch to tight end. His career as a pass-catcher hit new heights during his four seasons with the Washington Commanders. Thomas had 72 catches for 670 yards and six scores in 2020, then bounced back with 55 receptions for 496 yards and four scores this past campaign after two down years.
